Development of key language skills such as reading, writing, narrative skills and critical thinking skills, are not only key to ‘English’ but almost all school subjects including ‘Maths’, “Science’, ‘Drama’ and more.

So if your child is having trouble with their schoolwork and helping them with their homework or even hiring a tutor hasn’t helped then it may be worthwhile consulting a speech pathologist.

Perhaps your child is already receiving speech therapy support through their school but you feel that they may benefit from more therapy time then what they are receiving. Having extra collaborative support out of school hours to help your child understand their schoolwork might be a good option.
